Job Description

  • Operate a tractor trailer over roads, highways and interstates to pick up and deliver cargo to and from customers and/or loading terminals.
  • Obey all traffic laws and drive with caution while operating the motor vehicle.
  • Load and unload trailers as needed.
  • Actively pursue an excellent working relationship with customers by ensuring prompt and courteous service. Display a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum of six verifiable months tractor trailer driving experience
  • One year of local pick up and delivery experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Requires a CDL Class A license (Hazmat preferred but not required).
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Ability to perform high lifts, medium lifts, low lifts and overhead lifts up to 50 pounds, must be able to carry 50 pounds, must be able to push up to 200 pounds, and pull up to 100 pounds
  • Driver will be required to take and pass a pre-employment DOT physical and additional DOT physicals during employment as required.
  • Driver will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug screen and additional random drug screens as required.

Job Description

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Central Regional Sales Manager. The Central Regional Manager is responsible for providing the overall management and leadership for sales activities within an assigned geographical region/market to ensure sales and earnings objectives are achieved.

The area covered will include the states of WY, CO, NM, TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, ND, MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, IL, WI, IN, MI and OH. This position manages territory managers who are responsible for sales throughout the region. Position reports to Director of Sales for the Building Insulation Group.

As a key member of the management team, proactively participate with the leadership team across the organization in sales, marketing, operations, services, and legal to provide our customers a compelling reason to do business with Johns Manville.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, Implement and drive sales strategy for the assigned region, Monitor and make recommendations concerning market needs, changes in competitive policies and strategies, channels of distribution, advertising and promotion, pricing and sales activity; prepare and issue reports to management to proactively anticipate and take action to impact commercial opportunities and issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers (distributors, contractors, and owners) to understand what these customers value and to find ways to meet their needs to profitably win their business.
  • Partner with the Operations, Customer Service, and Marketing functions in creating and delivering value to our customers.
  • Manage assigned sales staff; assign sales quotas based on territory objectives; evaluate employee performance; manage employee development and training activities and corrective action programs as may be required; recruit and train new sales staff.
  • Take ownership of assigned territory sales planning and forecasting processes and for developing and participating in the IS Sales, Inventory, Operating, and Planning process.
  • Implement marketing programs to achieve sales and market share objectives as well as prepare and issue reports as required.
  • Using continuous process improvement methodology such as Six Sigma, the Sales Manager will evaluate existing sales processes to identify cost and variance reduction opportunities; coordinate process improvement initiatives with corporate Six Sigma staff and senior sales management.
  • Assure legal compliance in the selling of all products/systems with applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  • He/she will develop, manage and control budgetary process for their assigned region
  • Lead the sales effort for new product commercialization launch efforts at specification and contractor segments in the assigned territory & district.
