Job Description

Research Senior Analyst:

Exempt 

Denver, CO

Full Time

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Provide C&W service lines with a superior level of expertise in the area of real estate market research and analysis as required and requested.
  • Serve as quality control auditor to ennsure accuracy of reports, data and adherence to coorporate standards.  Assist in procuring new business through s superior market knowledge and presentation.
  • Provide market analysis for the purpose of enabling internal and external clientele to make sound real estate decisions.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage and contribute to the coordination and production locally of national and corporate client requests
  • Oversee and direct local quarterly reports and statistical production including forecasting and client requests
  • Currently informed and knowledgeable regarding Marketbeat subscription policies and data sales
  • Direct and supervise junior Research professionals
  • Attends, participates in and presents timely market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches and other meetings
  • Educate and train C&W Service Line Professionals and Administrative Assistants on research capabilities, including Research products, databases and services
  • Participate in design and development of new, enhanced products and services
  • Provides management functions including recruitment, motivation, and retention of existing employees
  • Acts as or assigns a mentor for new Research hires
  • Establishes relationships with PR reps in coordination with Corporate Communications --provides Research information for use by branch manager in media interviews
  • Interacts with all service lines in order to gain market insight
  • Proactively seeks market activity information with attendance at sales meetings and daily contact with all service lines
  • Interacts with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, Planning and Zoning, and other local governmental entities
  • Manage the production and distribution of analytical area-wide research materials, in order to provide accurate and timely market synopses to clients -internal and external
  • Responsible for all historical analysis and maintenance of market/submarket historical archives
  • Review market area periodically to ensure comprehensive market knowledge and attends open houses as appropriate
  • Updates proprietary database when necessary and ensures quality and integrity of data
  • Participates in the development and marketing of proprietary database
  • Executes and communicates national team goals and initiatives to Research personnel and service lines
  • Accessible to the press and other organizations such as BOMA and NAIOP as the top source of reliable information within the industry

 

Job Requirements


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

•  Bachelors degree

•  5+ years of research-related experience required (preferably in real estate industry)

•  Experience managing remotely or across several locations

•  Computer proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•  Superior knowledge of commercial real estate terms and definitions

•  Excellent writing, analytical, and verbal presentation skills are essential

•  Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently

•  Extreme attention to detail

•  Basic understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals

•  Ability to work independently on assigned projects

•  Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with both internal and external clients

•  Understanding of proprietary database, as to input and output of information

•  Excellent understanding of the complexities and rules of the research department and
  correctly communicates statistics Acts as liaison between local and national offices

•  Ability to communicate and analyze market conditions for the purpose of business development to
  support internal and external client

•  Execute Research initiatives

•  Ability to efficiently perform tasks and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all related software

•  Preparation of absorption for office and industrial space on a quarterly basis

•  Superior knowledge of commercial real estate terms and definitions

•  Excellent understanding of statistical calculations involved in correctly reporting vacancy rates,
  absorption, construction, rental rates, leasing, sales activity, renovation and proposed activity

•  Personnel and workflow management

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularyly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines; regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
