RN - ED Trauma Coordinator

Responsible for maintaining a Level III Trauma Center Designation utilizing rules set forth by the State of Colorado.Evaluates the clinical care of Trauma Service patients by tracking and maintaining a current trauma data registry and developing and maintaining a TCQI program. Monitors hospital staff and physician requirements for the Criteria for Participation in Trauma Care. Assists with the development/monitoring of the Trauma Program budget. Provides statistical reports and assists with trauma research requested by individuals from both in and outside AVH. Coordinates and participates in health care professional education and public injury prevention programs.

Job Requirements

 

This position requires a Current CO RN license.  BSN/Masters preferred.

Minimum of 3 or more years of recent nursing experience in an Emergency Department Critical Care or Trauma Service.  Trauma Certifications desired include TNCC, CEN, CCRN

BLS, ACLS AND PALS
