National Sales Manager at Denver

Job Description

The National Sales Manager’s primary role is to maximize sales of the Field Sales organization through coaching, training and managing of the Account Executives and by being a “player-coach”. The primary focus is aimed at sales opportunities and accounts and is achieved by collaborating with partners to identify, develop, accelerate, up-sell and close transactions. It is expected that this role will increase deal win rates as well as accelerate time to close on key opportunities. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for winning and a proven track record of success in selling enterprise software solutions.

  • Work with the sales management team in creating strategies and processes for driving new business across product lines
  • Train and coach Regional Account Executives on all aspects of their required tasks
  • Document details of identified opportunities to clearly communicate situation and account profile (including management org charts) for sales personnel and management
  • Lead the team in prospecting and closing new business
  • Support specific marketing programs, lead generation campaigns, and targeted sales activities
  • Must be constantly striving for self-improvement and possess the curiosity to stay abreast of industry and market trends by utilizing various research organizations, sales books, and collateral 

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales management experience
  • Experience leading teams of 6-8 individuals
  • Great work ethic and proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and phone communication skills 
  • Strategic selling skills –create a business plan, assess territories, qualify targets and prioritize sales efforts
  • Proven ability to develop/drive, and thrive in, a metrics-driven, process-based environment with high accountability
  • Demonstrated proficiency using SalesForce and proposal generation software
  • Ability to effectively track and report progress vs. targets for management
  • High energy level and stamina – ability to manage/drive multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • College degree (Preferred)
  • B2B and SAAS experience (Preferred)
