Tetra Tech, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a Field Geophysicist at our Lakewood, CO location.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Complete and manage data processing of geophysical data collected at the various geophysical project sites.
• Ensure rapid turn around and a high level of data quality.
• Work closely with key people in Tetra Tech and travel to Tetra Tech project locations.
• Collect/Process/QC Electromagnetic (EM) and Magnetometer (Mag) data using Geosoft Oasis Montaj.
• Provide guidance for working in a safe workplace.
• Assist with reporting and deliverables and requested by managers.
• Understand all operations of Data Acquisition Systems, troubleshoot sensors and software.
• Attend USACE and ESTCP training classes for data deliverables and advanced EMI sensor collection and data processing.
• The employee will need to provide input on WP, GIPS, SOP and reports.
• The employee will need to discuss geophysical data with the project team and clients.
• The employee will spend time in the field working with the project and site geophysicists.
• Travel 1-2 weeks per month.
   

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a focus in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or a related field or a related field.
• 4-5 years of applicable experience.
