Animal Health International, the premier animal health products distributor, offering cattle, equine, poultry, swine and companion animal products and supplies is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team in Greeley, Colorado.
As the Marketing Manager- Production (Swine/Poultry) you will:
Oversee a broad range of Marketing and product-related activities
Develop and implement strategies and tactics to communicate the attributes and value of the Company to the trade and customer/consumer community
Be responsible for managing activities to enhance the Companys image and reputation with current and prospective manufacturing partners, customers through the management communications, events management and other functions
Duties, responsibilities, and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Proactively manage relationships with existing and potential manufacturing partners and customers including targeting, relationship development, tracking and market feedback to management
Recommend marketing goals for specified business sub-segment to ensure share of market and profitability of products and services
Develop and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services
Analyze, recommend, and monitor sales forecasts for specified business sub-segment
Develop and execute sales promotions along with analyzing results
Lead presentations to sales team on specified business sub-segment
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, category and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized
In conjunction with Marketing Managers, develop and recommend pricing strategies which will result in the greatest share of market and meets margin requirements
Evaluate market reaction to advertising programs, merchandising programs, product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plan to meet changing market and competitive conditions
Identify new product approaches by conducting competitive SWOT analysis in order to create a market advantage
Recommend communication and advertising plans
Transact all business in accordance to Animal Health International Inc.s business code of ethics and conduct
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a communications or related field
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience in issues/crisis management
Agility and flexibility in thinking as well as executing strategies and tasks
Strong leadership qualities
Solid critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Minimum 25% travel
