Director of Sales and Marketing

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the overall strategies for the Engineered Products North America (EPNA) commercial plan. This role is responsible for revenue of ~ $370M in sales and has a total organization ofsix direct report covering North and Central America.Key responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and marketing program to improve profitability and growth
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the EPNA business to include growth plans, competitive product analysis, product regulations and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborates with business intelligence resources to understand the competitive landscape including: competitive strategies, cost analysis, pricing and marketing programs, and leverages this to drive profitable growth
  • Makes ultimate decisions on pricing and sales to set target contribution margins and manage the overall business
  • Acts as a proactive team member on the EPNA Leadership Team
  • Assesses, manages and develops direct reports to ensure individual, team and business unit results are achieved

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree;
  • MBA preferred and degree in technical or Engineering related preferred
  • 10 years of sales and market or product development in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years of experience managing and developing managerial/technical talent
  • Technical background that enables candidate to understand product attributes, manufacturing processes, product technology, etc.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships within an organization
  • Experience in a complex business with multiple plants, markets, industries,materials and applications
  • Strong analytical skills to utilize various, and often disparate, sources of data for understanding business profitability
  • Ability to then draw conclusions and develop action plans to affect change in profitability Must have proven capabilities in developing and managing commercial product strategies with a strong customer focus
  • Experience in leading a team including assessment, management and development of team members
