Quality Assurance System Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least one year of hands-on Information Technology experience (computer lab administration acceptable, help desk, etc.).
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar discipline. Relevant work experience (3 years minimum) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in setting up and configuring Windows Servers (including IIS configuration), load balancers, and have a clear understanding of network diagrams. The DR QA staff are responsible for ensuring that the platform they are installing either custom or COTS software on (generally a multi-tiered Windows environment) is set up correctly.

DESCRIPTION:
Candidate must be able to perform testing of web and desktop software applications, understand formal software engineering practices and quality assurance standards. The ability to interpret product requirements, develop test procedures, and understand functional, performance, load, installation, and usability testing concepts are key. In addition, the position must be able to perform system administration of the entire QA test environment.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Understanding of the formal software development process.
Windows server administration and setup/maintenance of multi-tier computing environments including but not limited to web server configuration
COTS installation/setup
Administration of users/groups/privileges within a windows environment
Development and maintenance of network architecture diagrams
Daily up-time/maintenance of all QA test environments
