A electronic security services leader seeks a Senior Systems Analyst located in Aurora, CO.
Summary
Provides production support and administration of existing business applications including Billing and Accounts Receivable, Finance/Tax Reporting, Document Imaging, and Accounts Payable. Analyze and evaluates existing and/or proposed systems and devices to process data. Prepares detailed program specifications and coordinates the systems installation with the user department ensuring satisfactory results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and enhance automated systems by applying system solutions to business issues.
- Ensure enterprise performance and reliability.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of test and production systems.
- Configure, analyze, and maintain systems and applications to support business processes and functions.
- Monitor and maintain performance metrics for system features, and recommend and develop corrective/preventive actions.
- Applies knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies to perform system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, file design, and storage.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify technology modifications that will impact business processes.
- As required, perform configuration, change management, and testing activities.
- Provides support of all system/service components, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support.
- Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, research, plan, install, configure troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade system components and services.
- Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures and/or problems to define operational services needs.
- Prepare detailed flow charts, diagrams and other architectural documentation outlining system capabilities and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HW, SW and connectivity problems, including user access and component.
- Configuration, record and maintain HW and SW inventories, component licensing and user access and security.
- Conduct technical research of system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems/components.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to information and data being processed, stored or accessed.
- Mentor junior analysts in procedures and best-practice for all operational areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education:
- Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 2 - 4 yrs.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ yrs experience.
Skills:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of own discipline and some knowledge of principles and concepts in other functions.
- Understands appropriate procedures, policies, practices, systems and regulations.
- Demonstrates business and organizational acumen of disciplines and client function.
- Recognized for technical/ functional expertise.
Preferred Skills:
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware and software, including operating systems, databases, network, application servers and services, middleware and peripherals.
- Experience with configuration management tools and best-practices and extensive application and enterprise operations support experience/knowledge/ abilities.
- Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic, audit and support utilities.
- Strong understanding of organizations goals and objectives and extensive business knowledge and keeps current on industry trends.
