Job Description:

The primary duties and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to: Achieve quality operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; Prepare and complete action plans; Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; Identify and resolve problems; Assemble process documentation consistent with Quality goals and objectives; Validate existing and new quality practices and policies; Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze quality reports in order to understand incoming, in-process, and finished goods quality per Magpul established metrics.

Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.

Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.

Assist in process certification.

Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.

Manage the operation and use of the OGP SmartScope for first article and production inspection.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.)

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to travel: in-state day trips up to 25% and overnight travel up to 10%.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent.

3-5 years experience in quality assurance or control (may be offset by advanced training).

Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.

Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to understand and interpret engineering drawings. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION WITHOUT THIS SKILL.

Must have a strong working knowledge of GD&T. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION WITHOUT THIS SKILL.

Working knowledge of CMM, optical scopes, non-contact video, laser and/or multi-sensor measuring systems preferred. (OGP Flash Smart Scope, including MeasureMind 3d software).

Understanding and ability to correctly monitor and analyze product (raw material, in-process, and finished goods) data.

Must have experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.

Must be able to communicate and prioritize diverse projects with vendors and suppliers.

Strong attention to detail.

Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.

Must be a dynamic, self-starter with a continual improvement mindset.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.

Ability to utilize common inspection and measurement equipment.

Special Skills or Training:

Excellent communication skills.

Experience with injection molded and machined parts highly desirable.

Additional:

This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
