SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER at Westminster

Our client is looking for a Senior Security Engineer with AWS Experience

The team is building the secure identity, authentication, and authorization systems for the AWS cloud. They are innovating new ways of building massively scalable and globally distributed security systems providing identity and access management, federation, web services security, and single sign on. Their services empower AWS customers to use AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, DynamoDB, RDS securely, and enables them to configure AWS to meet their individual security requirements.

My client is looking for a Security Engineer who wants to contribute to designing, implementing and validating massively scalable digital security systems to highest security standards.

Your responsibilities include:

Responsible for the AWS IAM security threat model analysis

Drive continuous improvement for the security of the fundamental building block for AWS

Stay up to date, anticipate and explore new threats as they apply to identity and access management systems

Design and implement robust solutions for addressing relevant security risks

Collaborate efficiently with other security engineers and teams in AWS

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum of 3 years experience in software development, system and network security

Excellent written and verbal communication

Relevant knowledge for any combination of the following : threat modeling, penetration testing, secure coding, cryptography, internet security protocols

Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Computer Science or related field

General knowledge of understanding of internet protocols such as HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP and operating system security fundamentals

Practical experience with some specific aspect(s) of computer security: network security, system or application security, security protocols, cryptography

Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services

Experience with agile software development practices

Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team

Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between

Possess self-drive to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (avoid analysis paralysis)

Strong sense of ownership and drive
