Position Summary: Primary responsibilities include the review or preparation of general ledger accounting for domestic business unit operations including the reconciliation of the corresponding balance sheet accounts. Other duties include proper coding for invoices and other financial transactions. l Gathers, analyzes, interprets, prepares and reconciles financial information in accordance with company and regulatory accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data. l Ensure that proper US GAAP standards are maintainedl Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsl Prepares proper account coding for invoices and other financial transactionsl Prepares standard and ad hoc internal financial reports based on accounting information in accordance with company and regulatory policies and procedures to provide the financial tools necessary for optimal business decisions l Prepare, analyze and monitor revenue and/or expense transactions and provide timely variance analysis explanations between actual and budget results l Implement, monitor and maintain internal control systems and documentation to ensure system integrity and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve accounting system issuesl Work on special projects that will enhance standard of functionality and process improvementsl Maintains and applies broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures in area of expertise l Gain an in depth understanding of the business with an analytical focus.l Performs other duties as assignedl Ensure all requests from the companies have been properly completed accurately and timelyl Continually explore ways to automate and streamline the monthly accounting functionsRequirements l Intermediate Excel skills requiredl PeopleSoft or Oracle experience preferredl Strong writing and verbal communications skillsl Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced work environment with tight deadlinesl Mutual acceptance and respect of all co-workersl Ability to be a team playerl BS/BA degree in Accounting preferredl 3+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience Pay is 40,000 - 45,000.
