This position will require you to work a combination of evenings/nights, including weekends and holidays.
Responsible for the delivery of assigned account management services to contracted Employee Assistance Program (EAP) customers and Behavioral Health services. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Utilizes skills and knowledge in psychiatric and chemical dependency assessment, negotiation, coordination, implementation, case planning, monitoring, and evaluating to promote quality member outcomes, to optimize member benefits, and to promote effective use of resources. Ensures member access to medical necessary, quality behavioral healthcare in a cost effective setting according to contract.
To provide telephone crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution, referral, and case management to members. Addresses a wide range of issues including problems in daily living, psychiatric crisis, and violent situations. Applies expertise and specialized knowledge in substance abuse, domestic abuse, grief counseling, workplace problems, and management consultation to counsel members.
Provides employer consultation to supervisors and managers of the EAP contracted organizations to help improve productivity and healthy functioning in the work place. Case manages mandatory referrals from contracted organizations for mental health, substance abuse, or other work related issues. Tracks compliance with protocols and policies and reports utilization and case management.Coordinates and manages critical incident responses for employers.
Job Requirements
Requires Master degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field, and current, unrestricted license as a licensed clinical social worker in relevant state, LPC (Licensed professional counselor) designation, marriage and family therapist, clinical psychologist, or RN. Knowledge of current legislation, court decisions, and regulations that affect EAP policy and protocol (i.e. substance abuse, DOT, workplace violence, ADA mental health accommodation, FMLA), and 5 years experience, which must include professional EAP experience, facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Previous experiences in Case management/utilization review preferred. Completion of a recognized Critical Incident Response Management training and CEAP is preferred.
