Information Governance Program Consultant at Denver

Job Description

The Information Management Consultant will advise and develop a long-term Enterprise Information Management strategy. Specific focus areas will include formalizing Data Governance and deploying Master Data Management to create and enforce quality mechanisms to ensure acceptable data fitness. Design and deployment of best practice data management standards and guidelines to support near-term ERP and/or major system upgrades or implementations will be a critical role. The data management strategy and program is expected to identify data quality gaps, implement reporting processes in order to track quality improvements, and enhance current systems. Scope also includes developing standardized tracking methods, which facilitate the quality checking process.

Job Requirements

Experience with creating Data Management programs from establishing strategy to implementation and support of on-going program
Strategy, implementation experience and deep knowledge in any one of the following three areas and knowledge of the other 2 areas at a minimum. Implementation experience in all the 3 areas preferred.
o Master Data Management
o Data Governance
o Data Quality
Experience with Data Management and data migration in relation with ERP and/or major system upgrades or implementation
8+ years of relevant data management consulting (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality)
10+ years of experience in IT projects
Advise and establish Data Governance Council based on best practices
Experience with conceptualization, design and assistance in the implementation of new and existing systems, middleware, MDM, metadata, data quality, data warehouse and production architectures
Ability to work independently with limited guidance
Experience in complex IT environments with 1000s of applications
Experience transferring knowledge and best practices to client
Strong verbal, written and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of one or more EDM toolset (MDM, Metadata, Data Quality) such as SAP Netweaver/MDM suite (incl. Business Objects), Oracle PDM/DRM/DataHub/Hyperion MDM tools, IBM WebSphere MDM tools, Tibco, Kalido, Informatica, i2, SAS/DataFlux, Data Advantage Group / MetaCenter , Embarcadero Technologies, Global IDs / Metadata Crawler, Microsoft, Teradata, InfoLibrarian, LogicLibrary, and/or SchemaLogic
