Quality Manager at Arvada

Job Description


A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting in to this very rewarding Quality Manager role. Our client is looking to hire someone who can bring in additional value to the role; so if youre someone who is dedicated, energetic and can ensure thorough attention to detail at all times, this could be the perfect role for you.

1) Monitor, develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures to ensure conformance of incoming ingredients, materials and finished products to establish specifications and quality standards
2) Support talent management of QC team members to ensure the engagement of each member
3) Communicate with stakeholders the effectiveness of food safety programs and to address regulatory and compliance issues and incidents
4) Develop and implement training and refresher programs to ensure that GMPs, food safety training, HACCP, etc. are adhered to by all company staff
5) Deal with quality-related issues and implement corrective actions and preventative measures
6) Adhere to the companys HACCP, BRC and SQF 2 plan and pre-requisite programs, regulatory, and company requirements
7) Interact with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and be the lead contact and coordinator for weekly meetings, audits, etc.
8) Work with senior management to recommend improvements to current quality systems and practices
9) Provide assistance to ensure compliance with company
10) Develop and maintain controls and documentation procedures

Job Requirements


1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the food/beverage/packaging industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to people have recent experience in quality management
