Summary:
This position will align leading HR practices with CHIs operating model; provide HR practices and knowledge transfer to designated business and service lines within the CHI enterprise; deliver tools and resources needed to provide quality HR support; and implement HR competencies that attract and retain high-performance HR leaders. Shares accountability with CHI service and business lines leaders to strengthen HR capabilities to drive operating excellence. The Vice President, HR Business Practices will share accountability and work hand in hand with CHI HR leaders across the enterprise to develop a high-performance, values-based culture through implementation of workforce development and effectiveness strategies.Major Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for a team of HR business partners to align workforce priorities across the system and leverage national and MBO functions to strengthen human resource group capabilities.
- People management responsibilities: hiring, coaching, developing, and providing performance feedback.
- Partner with enterprise business and service lines operations leaders to create operating system alignment and collaboration on workforce development efforts.
- Work collaborartively with MBO and National HR leaders to develop an understanding of CHI enterprise priorities and to consult on organizational effectiveness and create a high performance values based culture.
- Develop and manage Centers of Expertise as assigned.
- Conduct research and introduce leading human resource management practices.
- Integrate HR practices and processes within enterprise business and service lines to increase effectiveness addressing system and business/service lines specific issues and priorities.
- Implement system HR policy standards and practices.
- Implement HR change leadership practices to create the conditions that make productive change a natural part of how we approach setting actions to accomplish projects and problem solve.
- Partner with enterprise business and service line leaders for successful utilization of HR talent and capabilities.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in business, human resources, or other related field required. Masters Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Organizational Behavior and HR leadership executive education preferred. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience with a minimum of 3years leading HR generalist or organizational effectiveness practice area and developing HR talent. Project management experience is a plus.
