Description

At Hewlett-Packard, we invent new technologies, change markets, and create business opportunities. As members of the Systems VLSI Lab (SVL), we are responsible for architecting and designing servers and computer components. We are looking for top talent to join our team of computer and electrical engineers in Physical Design. These positions are located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Our Physical Design engineers are responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of HPs next generation ASICs. Our designs are built to meet timing, power, and manufacturability requirements. The team consists of persons strong in both automated and custom circuit design methodologies. We leverage industry standard tools and invent new methodologies to meet the pressing demands of todays cutting edge ASICs.



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer engineering, or related fields
  • Knowledge about the development of electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Coursework in EE fundamentals, digital logic, computer architecture
  • Coursework or knowledge of a programming or scripting language in a UNIX environment
  • Coursework in VLSI design or VLSI design concepts
  • CMOS circuit design or device physics
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of electrical design tools and software packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for technology
  • Eager, quick learner with strong team-work spirit
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills

Desired:

  • Experience with industry standard schematic capture, layout and simulation tools
  • Coursework or experience in analog CMOS VLSI design
