Current Need
The EHR Implementation Specialist is responsible for the training and implementation of the iKnowMed EHR in physician practices, based on the specific workflow determined by the project team. You willunderstand and match technology tothe practice workflows to ensure the maximum effectiveness in the use of the iKnowMed EHR,acting as the primary training and support person for users and physiciansduring the project implementation. You will support and adhere to the McKesson Specialty Health Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Position Description
Under general supervision, manages the training and workflow process for the installation of iKnowMed EHR and iKnowMed EHR G2 in a physician practice/multiple sites, based on the specific workflow determined by the project team. Analyzes and redesigns workflow to ensure the maximum effectiveness in the use of iKnowMed EHR.
Acts as the primary support person for users during project implementation. Supports and adheres to the McKesson Specialty Health Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Comprehends existing practice workflow amd implements process redesign as appropriate. Supports the adoption of Meaningful Use initiatives as well asPatient Portal and Lynx Mobile integrated solutions in customer environment.
Executes customer training for application and data loading process both remotely and onsite. Assesses user abilities and tailors training to meet customers and practice workflowneeds.
Provides expert support to customers during implementation both remotely and onsite, as appropriate.
This position requires up to 70% travel. When not traveling this will be a work from home position.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years computer operations experience and demonstrated leadership skills
Critical Skills
- Prior clinical software experience.
- Ability to train end-users and physicians.
- Bachelors degree or work experience equivalent in Nursing, Pharmacy, Information Systems or related Healthcare field.
- Ability to travel 70% of the time.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience required working in health care environment like physicain practice, hospital, or healthcare software system.
- 2+ years work experience training, implementing and/or supporting clinical staff and providers in use of EHR or other clinical systems.
Education
BS degree or equivalent experience in electronic system installation and troubleshooting
