Manager, Field Development

Autism Speaks is the largest autism science and advocacy organization in the country, dedicated to funding biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure for autism.
We have a fundraising position available as a Manager, Field Development in Denver, CO (position is home-based). The Manager will fundraise for Autism Speaks by organizing volunteers, creating awareness and implementing Walk and other fundraising events in the Denver area. This is a Fundraising position.
Responsibilities are the following:
- Work with supervisor to establish and implement planning timelines, income goals, expense budgets and recruitment strategies.
- Achieve the Walk goals through practicing the strategies for the annual walk and events: sponsorship, team recruitment and retention, media outreach, kickoff and a year-long communications plan.
- Implement campaigns such as advocacy, national walk extensions, family services, community outreach
- Manage day of event logistics, donations processing (day of walk), acknowledgments/follow-up
- Provide administrative support to volunteer committees.
- Make presentations to businesses, organizations and community groups to solicit sponsors/donors
- Integrate social marketing initiatives, such as email blasts to volunteers, constituents and local community, creating fundraising websites primarily for the Walk, as well as other forms of social media outreach to target potential walkers, donors, constituents who will help support our mission.
Job Requirements
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors degree, and a minimum of 3 years of fundraising and volunteer development experience. Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, database experience (Raisers Edge or Kintera preferred), ability to recruit and manage volunteers, and flexibility to work nights and weekends pre-and-post events/walks. Proficiency w/MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint is required.
