Job Duties and Responsibilities:

THE AREA: Brand Management Customer Marketing

The Consumer is the Path to Victory Joe Clayton, CEO, DISH. Dish is embarking on an ambitious journey to deliver the most compelling TV watching experience by getting our product, the industry leading Hopper DVR, into the households of more and more consumers. To do this, we are creating a Customer Marketing Team with the sole focus of creating robust customer marketing materials, working to establish joint business plans with our key channels (Retailers, Order Entry Partners, National Accounts) and creating compelling messages at the point of purchase. We are seeking experienced marketers who have passion for the consumer and advertising, proven initiative leadership skills and a track record of delivering business building results.

THE ROLE: Assistant Brand Manager, DISH Puerto Rico Marketing

The DISH Puerto Rico Assistant Brand Manager will be responsible for working with three key components of DPR total activations; the advertising, the promotion and the education. These are some of the key

  • Direct Response Advertising and media plans; from writing a powerful Creative Brief, managing the day to day of agencies relationships, analyzing and recommending the right media plan for maximizing direct activations.
  • Lead the trimester planning and production of indirect channel tools.
  • Work with DISH Puerto Rico TVRO Sales Managers to create joint business planning for top 15 retailers including execution and supervision of event marketing.
  • Lead the training for smaller retailers working with Sales Managers.
  • Point of contact to seek approval for artworks and Coop funds for TVRO and Claro.

    Job Requirements


    WHAT TO BRING

    • Proven leadership skills, a strategic mindset, a passion for innovation and agile responsiveness
    • An MBA or Bachelors degree in marketing, business, advertising, or mass communications
    • A minimum of 3 years experience in Brand Management, preferably within the Puerto Rico paid TV industry
    • Decisive & effective problem-solving ability
    • Sound analytical skills; both qualitative & quantitative
    • Detail orientation, strong organizational skills
    • Creative and promotional mindset to effectively leverage programmer media properties
    • Proven communication and presentation skills: advanced ability to present & sell recommendations and to adjust presentations accordingly based on feedback
    • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm & foster strategic thinking
    • Understanding of creative development and the importance of creativity in marketing communications
    • Budget management and strong analytical skills
    • Ability to train and manage business owners and sales personnel
    • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
