GradStaff is actively recruiting for an Underwriter Trainee with a major international insurance company.

Background:

Selected candidates will participate in a two year training program where he/she will learn the tasks and responsibilities involved in underwriting commercial insurance. This is an ideal opportunity to learn about the insurance industry. During the training program, the trainee will provide support for the underwriting department including:

• Policy issuance, file construction and maintenance
• Entering and maintaining account information
• Work with pre-renewal preparations
• Process account changes

Requirements:

Successful candidates will be very organized and possess strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities. They will also demonstrate the determination to complete tasks timely and efficiently. This position requires the capability to work under pressure and stress both in a team environment and independently. Leadership qualities are a must. Candidates must comfortable with business math. There are many opportunities for career advancement, so this position requires a goal-oriented person. Those with international experience will be given special consideration.

Compensation:
