Controller/CFO at Denver

We are currently looking for a CFO in Denver, CO. This position is going to be working on numerous aspects of Accounting and Finance with a medium size Oil and Gas Company.  Duties include month-end close process, financial reporting, analysis, and various special projects.  Candidates must possess the ability to prioritize tasks, lead a small team, meet deadlines, and ensure a high level of attention to detail from team members. This position offers above market pay and a great opportunity to be one of the heads of the company. This person must possess a strong knowledge of BOLO and the CFO responsibilities include: 

 

-  Accomplishes finance human resource strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation strategies 

-  Perform monthly G/L close processes, ensuring that the month-end close process provides timely and accurate financial reporting 

-  Reviews and analyzes transaction detail data, preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis, and reconciling items for all areas of the general ledger including, but not limited to cash, prepaid assets, and accrued expenses 

-  Develop monthly fluctuation analysis for financial results within areas of ownership 

-  Preparation of monthly reporting packages for internal reporting within the company 

-  Maintain and suggest improvements on process/procedures and act as go to person for assistance/support of business personnel 

-  Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting financial and operational data 

-  Analyze current processes for process improvements and automation opportunities, prepare and implement recommendations to increase efficiencies 

-  Assist with requests from external auditors 

-  Assists in other projects as deemed necessary
