Job Overview
Manage the procurement, deployment, and tracking of all network elements across the Comcast Regional and National TCP/IP network.
Directs and implements an agile approach to the day-to-day coordination and technical project management of network equipment including change control, resolution of stake holder issues, schedules and timelines to ensure equipment implementation is on track for overall project success.
Assists in the risk assessment, quality, budgeting, and scope management of deployment technical project plans.
Manage vendor relationships by providing recommendations for contractual agreements on technical services and installation support.
Manage facility As Built drawings, cabling running lists, floor designs and records of deployed equipment.
Accountable for evaluating Engineering Design requirements and documents for nationwide facilities and ensuring that a sound architectural design is achieved.
Administers vendor relationship communicating the latest industry standards, pricing structures, purchase orders and delivery timelines.
Acts as the lead interface for internal and field organizations in the deployment of network gear during the design, installation, and configuration phase.
Responsible for the inventory management of Comcast Regional Area Network, CMTS and related project network elements.
Responsible for the timely distribution of facility requirements to Field Engineering staff including power, HVAC, space planning and supporting documentation.
Continued focus on Lean Methods and Procedure for equipment deployment and implementation.
Works with limited amount of supervision for job duties and high performance.
Some travel required.
Be available on a 24 x 7 basis.

- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

 Requirements- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- Engineering, Computer Science
- Generally requires 2-5 years related experience

Additional Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Three plus years of experience in deployment and installation of switches, routers and servers or related equipment.
Three plus years of experience in High Speed Data, Voice, IP and Data Networking.
Diverse background and working knowledge of HVAC, power, and cabling terminology.
Advanced Technical Project Management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office or equivalent computer skills.
Basic knowledge of all current types of networking and server hardware.
Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work with vendors, employees and management.

Skills Required:
Solid technical skills relative to Voice and High Speed Internet network engineering, planning and management including experience with IP routers, switches and CMTS equipment.
Strong understanding of AC/DC power configurations and HVAC related thermal architecture.
HFC and 2-way RF outside plant engineering (i.e. RF modulation schemes).
Strong proven background in reviewing and implementing Engineering Design guidelines and requirements.
Good technical understanding of the IP protocol suite (e.g. ARP, IP, TCP, DNS, SNMP).
Strong abilities with using Microsoft Office.
Self motivated team player.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
