JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Ambulatory Director will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and support of all ambulatory applications that will be used by SCL Health Systems and our Community Providers. This is accomplished through direct supervision of Managers, Project Managers and Application Analysts that are part of the Ambulatory IST team. This position will be responsible for directing multiple concurrent Ambulatory projects and will provide guidance to multiple teams on issues that range from prioritizing, operational issues, conflict management that may be associated with multiple projects.The Director will be responsible for Vendor Management that includes communication and coordination of vendors which includes contract labor and consultants. This role also will direct cross-functional teams for the management of a project environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency. Overall responsibility for overseeing Project Management for the scope, budgets, schedules and quality of our Ambulatory projects. Responsible for supporting the advancement of the Ambulatory systems through development, management and marketing to both internal and external customers. The Director will collaborate with Ambulatory Community Customers and End-users on all current and future software systems. This would include analyzing, overseeing current processes, initiate projects, establishing corrective actions plans when needed, establishing budgets related to proposed projects, monitor project milestones, development, support, design, testing, training and routine maintenance for Ambulatory systems throughout SCL Health Systems and the Community Providers that utilize systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in computer science, Healthcare Administration mathematics or related field preferred
• Equivalent education and work experience may be substituted in lieu of education
• Ambulatory clinic operations experience required.
• Minimum of six years experience in Management role is required
