This position is designed to assist the Site Director in managing the “Before and After School" Care Program at the assigned School(s). The Assistant Site Director will be responsible for all related startup and daily onsite operations, i.e. site management activities for assigned site which includes training materials, set-up, classroom management with children in grades K-6, completing site visit checklist, child attendance management, assessments, student plans, relationship building. The Assistant Site Director will also be responsible for following the processes associated with collecting all program data including payments from clients when necessary. Additionally, the Assistant Site Director will be required to substitute for the Site Director when needed.
The Assistant Director will report any observed, appropriate and/or inappropriate behavior directly to the Site Director. The Assistant Site Director should have excellent communication and writing skills to effectively convey ideas both to the Site Director and support staff.
• Actively engages students and advocates the “Before and After School" care program for Learn It
• Works in partnership with Site Director and Child Care Personnel to foster a positive child care and development environment to ensure that we deliver the highest quality service
• Provides professional development and mentors Child Care Personnel as required
• Arrives prior to the start of the Before/After School Program and assists or takes the lead in preparing the instructional area(s).
• Helps build and maintain a positive rapport with both parents and children
• Actively and effectively encourages student enrollment and works with parents and school administration to address enrollment issues.
• Ensures that Learn It is in compliance with all safety procedures (both school based and Learn It based), they are communicated to all staff and adhered to at all times
• Deploys child care and management development techniques to foster a safe and healthy learning environment.

High School Diploma; **All Credentials Will Be Verified Per State Requirements** excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point; effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks; satisfactory completion of background check, physical examination [as required by state/district(s)] and drug testing. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and the ability to travel as needed.
- Applicants must be at least nineteen (19) years of age
- A High School Diploma is required
- At least one year of experience in direct relation to child care and/or child care development
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
- Solid understanding site operations; education industry experience preferred
- Licensing experience is a preferred
- Pre-School and/or before and After School Program experience is necessary
- Solid organizational skills and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to deal with all levels of staff and provide A+ customer service to employees
- Computer literacy is a must
