Job Classification: Direct Hire An industry leading in improving air quality in coal fired power plants is actively looking to hire an Air Quality Process Engineer to join their growing team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. This company has hired a dozen people including office personnel, field engineers, and technicians throughout the last 7 months and they will continue growing well into next year. Below are the minimum qualifications and job duties.Position Summary: The AQC Process Engineer creatively and strategically supports process development, design, control, and optimization of pollution control on breakthrough industrial processes, in support of customers most pressing environmental compliance needs.To perform this job successfully, the individual will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. General Competencies- Demonstrated ability to be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker.- Ability to understand and take into consideration the customers entire operation when conducting analysis and developing applications.- General knowledge of in-plant/process hands-on troubleshooting skills.- Ability to identify root cause and implement failsafe solutions.- Ability to carry out high-level conceptual analysis of industrial processes and entire plant operations.- Ability to identify underlying mechanisms and rate-limiting steps in a process.- Good grasp of unit operations in industrial processes.- Ability to carry out mass and energy balances in complex systems.- Ability to organize and analyze large and complex datasets using Excel, MATLab or MS Access.- Experience in cost estimation of industrial equipment.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience:- Five (5) years industrial or air pollutions control experience.- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering - P.E. certification preferred.- Ability to understand and take into consideration the customers entire operation when conducting analysis and developing applications.- General knowledge of in-plant/process hands-on troubleshooting skills.- Ability to identify root cause and implement failsafe solutions.- Ability to carry out high-level conceptual analysis of industrial processes and entire plant operations.- Ability to identify underlying mechanisms and rate-limiting steps in a process.- Good grasp of unit operations in industrial processes.- Ability to carry out mass and energy balances in complex systems.- Ability to organize and analyze large and complex datasets using Excel, MATLab or MS Access.- Experience in cost estimation of industrial equipment.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.Qualified candidates interested in pursuing this opportunity are highly encouraged to apply online.
