Software Engineer at Longmont

Job Description

You will be a member of the team that develops and maintains the software for the SCSI Enclosure Services processor used in Dot Hills storage products.  This includes integrating third party software into our design as well as developing SCSI Enclosures Services code layered on top of that third party software.  We would like you to have an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree. You will have the opportunity to learn new technologies and be an integral part of a software development team.

About this role:

• Design develop and maintain Software for the SES processor
• Design and develop automated test harnesses to verify the design
• Debug and test. This includes support of existing code base as well as new code (unit test of own code, engineering verification testing of new code)
• Must be a team player, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Desired Education and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 5-10 years of software development experience
• C embedded software development experience
• Experience developing software in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Firmware development and debug skills
• Storage protocol experience (FC, iSCSI, SAS, SATA)
• Use of protocol analyzers
• SAS expanders
• ThreadX RTOS experience
• SCSI Enclosure Services (SES) target and initiator interface specification
• Understanding of hard disk drives, both rotating media and solid state disk drives
