Job Classification: Contract TEKsystems is hiring for an immediate need for their client in Louisville, Co. This is a 6 month contract position with strong likelihood of extension. The start date is immediate and pay depends on experience and previous compensation. Please call or apply for details, 303-412-2767.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Suggests and implements innovative approaches for problem resolution.-Provides support and suggestions for continuously improving the SDLC process.-Reviews and provides input on the accuracy, clarity and testability of requirement documentation.-Conducts testing using multiple test methodologies.-Creates, executes and maintains complex test cases.-Creates, executes and maintains automated test scripts.-Isolates software problems, writing clear and detailed defect reports.-Assists development with defect reproduction.-Validates issues reported as fixed.-Demonstrates product mastery over responsible applications.-Trains less-experienced staff members and internal users.-Communicates issues and status to team and management.REQUIRED SKILLS:-The ability to create and maintain automated tests in QTP or equivalent tool-Ability to create and maintain manual test cases in Quality Center or equivalent tool-Working knowledge of hardware and software systems, components and multiple platforms.-Analytical and investigative problem-solving skills and the tenacity to work to the resolution of complex tasks.-The ability to perform in a dynamic environment.-Intermediate experience with SQL and UNIX.-The ability to assume responsibility for project assignments.-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.-Strong time management skills.PREFERRED SKILLS:-Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.-.Net/NUnit Experience-Experience working in a Business Intelligence/EDW environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:-Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, with at least 8 years direct experience in a software testing role and function.
