Classification: Accountant - Senior

Compensation: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year

A leading organization in the real estate industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its property accounting team! My client is not only stable, but growing at a rapid pace. The candidate ultimately selected for this role will have broad based responsibilities that will allow for significant growth and autonomy depending on his/her skill set and career development goals. Specific initial responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:1) Property Accounting Experience - Candidate will have financial responsibility for an assigned portfolio of properties. This would be a hands on A-Z position focused on commercial and industrial properties. !2) General Accounting This position also interfaces heavily with the Property Accounting Manager. This work will include preparation and review of monthly and quarterly external and internal schedules and reports, responding to upper management inquiries and interaction with auditors, as well as heavy interaction with other departments. It is imperative for this person to self starter and capable of learning the accounting system and its reporting capabilities in order to facilitate reporting. Job Requirements

4-year accounting degree a must5+ Years Accounting ExperienceRecent experience with real-estate accounting (commercial, industrial, or residential)Excellent oral and written communication abilityMicrosoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft ExcelFinancial statement preparation and review a plus
