Job Description
The MPA Representative position is responsible for providing eligibility, enrollment, billing and other functions for the department. The incumbents in the position possess the technical and detail-oriented skills required to successfully provide consistent quality service in a professional manner. Position has regular external customer contact, primarily with employer human resource departments and some members directly.
Working in conjunction with and under the direction of both the department’s Manager and Assistant Supervisor to perform assigned tasks, including but not be limited to:
- Assessment and verification of member eligibility;
- Maintain and update group enrollee membership and billing data;
- Reconcile payments and make corresponding accounting entries.
- Monitor member eligibility
- Inbound customer service calls from clients
- Filing of enrollment cards, terminations and related documents;
- Promptly and accurately respond to questions involving eligibility or enrollment
Job Requirements
- Must possess the ability to use an adding machine, personal computer, telephone, photocopier, facsimile machine and general office equipment.
- Must possess basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word & MS Outlook.
- Experience in scanning and attaching files electronically in the computer preferred.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to compare data and accurately copy it from one source to another.
- Must possess solid math skills.
- Must be able to respond in an effective and efficient manner to requests and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to project a professional image.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of group eligibility, billing, accounting, bookkeeping or related experience.
