Job Description
Randstad Technologies is looking for a Sr. Oracle Developer/DBA for a 5 month project in the greater Denver, CO area.
Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains databases for test, development and production environments. Analyzes, tests, and implements physical database design. Documents environment and maintains current patches. Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through formulation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. Audits the current environments, provides capacity planning and best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which may include establishing new standards and procedures. Conducts performance assessment and tuning as related to the database and disk subsystem. Provides technical knowledge working with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and architects.
Experience:
Writing, testing, documenting, deploying and supporting custom PL/SQL code.
Balancing the PL/SQL needs of multiple clients with multiple environments and multiple databases.
Backup and recovery of Oracle databases.
Working and assisting others on incident resolution.
Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (OCP) strongly desired
Supporting a number of production, test and development databases.
Supporting users, application administrators and developers for PL/SQ solutions.
Project support including go-live weekends Requirements:
Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (OCP) strongly desired.
8-10 years of PL/SQL experience. Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g.
Experience with SQL loader & stored Java.
Oracle DBA experience, with at least 5 years as a development DBA.
Experienced with SQL and UNIX shell scripting.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of installing and administering Oracle on the UNIX platform; AIX experience.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager event system.
Very strong Database performance and SQL tuning skills
Desired:
Upgrading Oracle to new versions is a plus.
Installing, configuring, patching and administering of Oracle databases.
Experience with terabyte plus environments, including large partitioned tables.
Working knowledge of tools for monitoring system performance, stability and capacity.
Backup and recovery skills.
Experience using Dataguard and log miner.
Experience with ASM.
Storage including SAN, NAS, volume managers, disk stripping and disk mirroring.
Experience with configuring, scripting and administrating RMAN.
