BI Test Supervisor at Englewood

Job Description

Randstad Technologies is seeking a BI Test Supervisor for a 5 month contract in the Denver Tech Center.Key Function: Ensures successful operation of Business Intelligence testing team including overall management of the BI Test Analysts, ensuring consistent process for test plans, reviewing test cases, etc. Participates in various phases of the SDLC process to ensure customer business and technical requirements are understood, testable and can be validated. Supports Director BI Development in identifying current and future testing needs and opportunities. Manages BI testing teams in direct and/or virtual environment. Supports the development of strategic and tactical plans and business process re-engineering for the Business Intelligence group Provides operational guidance to influence adherence to BI organizational goals and objectives. Creating and adhering to process methodologies, policies and procedures for testing activities for both new project work and maintenance and support (i.e. Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Summary, Metric reporting, etc ). Reviews, analyzes and provides feedback on product requirements and architectural designs. Manages and assures the effective production deployment of BI solutions. Provides mentoring to staff as a means to develop job satisfaction and coordinates cross training opportunities with other functional groups. Provides communication and appropriate escalation of all testing issues and activities for the application(s). Participate in the process development , supporting tools and training for the BI Testing team. Additional tasks/responsibilities as definedSkills and Requirements 7+ years total Testing experience required with at least: 4+ years experience testing ETL processes populating Data Warehouse Min 6+ years spent analyzing business and functional/system requirements for testing activities. Min 4+ leadership and management experience Min 4+ yrs coaching/mentoring of testing standards and activities. Bachelor s Degree in related field or may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Informatica and SQL server required. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at the same time. Organizational skills to facilitate a productive working environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills . Demonstrated ability to manage the implementation of long-range IT plans and strategies. Knowledge of industry standard practices in Business Intelligence and Healthcare data warehousing . Proven organizational skills and time management. Experience in a complex, multi-function environment preferred Specific experience with systems management/support required. Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the following areas: Technical knowledge with Product/Vendor Analysis, software support and training programs. Functional accounting, budget and variance accounting. Knowledge of system and application development. Experience with supporting SDLC tools.
