Responsible for the technical certification and demonstration of Harris P25 equipment on Land Mobile Radio P25 Systems.

Individual will be responsible for assisting with direct sales force, within assigned territory, for the configuration and implementation of Harris P25 radios on P25 networks.

Must be able to develop positive relationships at multiple levels within the customers technical/communications organization and work to influence customer specifications to gain competitive advantage.

Position also requires the ability to manage large and small P25 system certifications, troubleshooting and acceptance on non Harris P25 systems.

This position will also need to maintain existing assigned accounts and modify/create management records including: contact name, equipment history, and system information.

Other aspects of the position include gathering market intelligence on competitive activities including: products, pricing, strategies and tactics.

The position requires ~40% overnight travel in territory with periods of week long absences when preparing and certifying on large systems.

Qualifications:

High school diploma with 8+ years of basic knowledge of P2 radio configuration and infrastructure or Associates degree with 4+ years.

3+ years experience in customer communication and relationship skills, strong public speaking and presentation skills, and problem solving skills.

3+ years technical background in communications or IT products

Preferred Additional Skills:

Ability to present to multiple aspects of customer technical organization.

Direct experience in military or public safety organizations.

Familiar with all MS Office products, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
