General: The Clinical Nurse III position provides proficient patient care and displays ongoing leadership on the unit. The CN III has an expanded knowledge base and skill set and demonstrates the ability to provide support to other members of the healthcare team. Education or Formal Training: (Certifications) Requirements: Colorado RN Licensure and current BLS certification; obtains and maintains required Certifications for specific specialty; obtains the minimum number of annual CEUs required by LUH. Knowledge and Experience: 3 years clinical nursing experience required, 1 year CN II at LUH required. Must obtain acceptable score under Performance Evaluation system (refer to Clinical Ladder Guidelines). Ability: Demonstrates professional behavior as defined by LUH standards; interacts appropriately with others, including employees, patients and the public. Validation of other Competencies as required by specific area; utilizes communication strategies that promote quality patient care.
