Food Services Director at Northglenn

Job Description

We have an entire continuum of living options for seniors with our assisted living and memory care residences. Our goal is to create environments that respect the emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of our residents and to create communities that define exceptional customer services.

We are currently lookingfor a professional who has exceptional organizational skills, strong written& verbal communication skills and who love working with seniors.  The FoodServices Director will be responsible for the planning and execution ofquality meals served to our resident seniors and have a proven ability tomanage kitchen, service staff and oversee all facets of food production andservice within specified budgetary guidelines.

 

 Responsibilities:

 

· Menu developmentfollowing an approved Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements andspecial diets ordered by physicians.

 

· Responsible forfood purchases, equipment and supply purchases as outlined within the budgetedrequirements while presenting food that looks and tastes appealing.

 

· Preparation &delivery of food to ensure that all foods prepared are done so in accordancewith safe food handling and storage practices. 

 

· Circulates in thedining room to ascertain resident preferences and satisfaction with meals andalso ensures that staff provides excellent service that maintains good residentexperiences during meal times.

 

· Supervision offood service staff providing input to Executive Director on new hires, trainingand performance issues in the dietary department. 

 

Other:

 

· The FoodServices Director must be able to communicate effectively with residents,families, and outside business contacts and suppliers.

· Must have provenmanagement experience to effectively manage staff.

 

· Safety Complianceand Compliance with Sanitation & Dietary Guidelines, maintaining a cleankitchen which includes all equipment, walls, ceilings, vents, dry storage, coldstorage, cooking areas and preparation surfaces and dish storage areas.

 

· Ability toprofessionally represent The Summit at Sunland Springs.

 

· Other duties asassigned or needed.

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Education/Licensing/Experience

 

·  High School Diploma or equivalent required and minimum of 2 years continuing education preferred.

·  Food Service Certification by the City or ability to obtain certification.

·  Minimum one year experience in food service preparation and two years experience managing staff.

·  Experience with Microsoft Office.
