Sales Engineer
As the primary technical resource for the CareFusion sales force, Sales Engineers act as a Trusted Adviser/Subject Matter Expert that provides technical and professional expertise during the sales process. You will use your knowledge base to gain credibility with hospital IT and Informatics teams including the CIO to directly influence the technical buying preference.
What is expected of you for success in your role:
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of best practices in the healthcare industry and thorough knowledge of CareFusion solutions
Ability to collect data to evaluate current state within a healthcare organization in order to compare it against best practices in order to strategically position CareFusion products
Effectively interprets complex customer needs in order to recommend and propose specific CareFusion solution(s)
Serves as an experienced communicator and collaborator with stakeholders (internal and external) to drive alignment on recommendations and proposed solutions
Assume technical leadership role with aligned Sales Executives for all networked solution opportunities.
Work closely with marketing Product Managers to maintain the highest levels of technical expertise about current and future CareFusion solutions.
Create impactful and meaningful messaging through various communications tools to positively position CareFusion against its competition during the sales cycle.
Bachelors Degree
Minimum 7 yrs work experience with an emphasis on IT or Informatics experience in a Hospital or Healthcare organization.
Previous experience in a sale, engineering or marketing role within Healthcare Vendor organization is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Broad IT knowledge with past experience with network and client/server environments.
Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required
Working knowledge of HIS interfaces and standards (HL/7,IHE, CCOW, etc.)
Ability to travel 60% of time
