The Network Engineer will be responsible for complex projects involving the planning, design, installation, technical support, and auditing for a fast-growing network infrastructure. Responsibilities include configuration/deployment of local and wide area networks, related management/diagnostic tools to support a new and existing network architectures. Current CCNA, CCNP, or BCNA Certification is required 

 

Responsibilities

 

•   5+ years of enterprise networking experience, specifically supporting multiple data center environments
•   Deploy, maintain, install, and configure routers, switches, and firewalls.
•   Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the network.
•   Must have enterprise knowledge
•   Participate in strategic, capacity, and performance planning.
•   Isolate and resolve network and security related issues.
•   Research new technologies and evaluate their viability in our environment.
•   Operations monitoring with Solarwinds
•   Rotating on call
•   Hands-on experience with various networking technologies and products.

 

 

 

Required Knowledge

 

•   Routing protocols - BGP, BFD, OSPF
•   LAN Switching - VLAN, RSTP
•   Quality of Service, traffic shaping, queuing, DSCP
•   WAN – MPLS/VPLS, MP-BGP, VPN, IPSEC, RSVP, LDP
•   TCP/IP protocol suite
•   DNS/DHCP
•   Application protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, etc.
•   Network Security –LDAP, RADIUS
•   Data Center Architecture - Network, Servers, Storage
•   Windows Server OS knowledge
•   Experience in heterogeneous network environments
•   Experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls
•   Experience with Brocade switches and routers
•   Experience with Cisco switches
•   Current CCNA, CCNP, BCNA, or other comparable network vendor certifications
