* IC Manufacturing Manager
Location: Colorado Springs
Job Description: Oversees and manages the IC Manufacturing operation consisting of approximately 70 employees in a 24 hour 7 days a week operation. This position reports to the General Manager of the facility. The position manages and directs the IC Package Assembly, Test, Environmental, Burn-in and Equipment Engineering Operation functions that support a HiRel, low volume, high mix, production line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Senior Manager Leadership team will develop and implement near and long term plans and strategies to achieve the production revenue and R&D plans as set forth. Plans include manpower, equipment, and other resources needed to meet production requirement.
- Defines overall department objectives and individual objectives as needed.
- Establishes and manages a training curriculum to ensure department personnel have required qualifications and certifications.
- Defines and disburses the annual department budget to achieve all manufacturing goals and objectives..
- Direct, mentor, and manage the performance of supervisor level employees to attain the goals defined by the business plan.
- Establish strategies and logistics to improve quality, efficiency, yield, and cycle times within the production operation.
- Direct the equipment maintenance effort to achieve the highest level of systems uptime and hardware support.
- With other operation’s groups, install and qualify new equipment and processes to improve overall effectiveness and manufacturability.
- With other Aeroflex departments, execute the required support to effectively maintain the EH&S, ITAR and security activities.
- Utilize, support, train, and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Aeroflex ERP Manufacturing System.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in management or an equivalent discipline.
Experience: Prior experience as a manager in a similar IC backend semiconductor manufacturing operation, including space and military standard quality requirements, is highly desired.

Must be able to utilize the Visual Manufacturing system, interpret the IC Dispatch report, determine line balances, and interpret the IC Monthly Area Process Totals report on production activity.
