Responsibilities: A Kforce client is seeking a Systems Support Technician - Tier 1 in the Englewood, Colorado (CO) area.Company Overview:Our client is an IT and cloud Services Company that can manage all aspects of their customers IT so they have the freedom to focus on priority business needs - not IT. Our clients values, approach and people allow them the opportunity to give customers the freedom to focus.Position Summary:This position provides technical implementation assistance, troubleshooting and support of Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and other related technologies and, or projects. Support datacenter environments (servers, communications, applications etc.) Responds to telephone calls, and emails to provide professional services to our customers and partners. Documents, tracks and monitors issues to ensure timely resolution. Provides on-site support for external clients when necessary.Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Resolve or review all escalated issues before Engineer escalation
- Handle incoming customer calls
- Understand the business and technical needs of the clients
- Work with the Team Lead/group manager to define process and procedures for the team
- Assist in continuous improvement in workflow
- Verify technical deliverables
- Demonstrate positive energy
Job Requirements
Systems Support Technician Qualifications - Requirements:- Ability to work independently
- 3 years experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based desktop, laptop or server environments (Helpdesk or Desktop experience)
- Experience supporting Cisco & Microsoft-based network environments a plus
- 1 year experience (cumulative) in two or more of the following:
- Hardware maintenance/installation
- Software installation (hotfixes, service packs, server builds, etc.)
- Windows infrastructure maintenance
- Network infrastructure maintenance
- Unified communications a plus
- Hardware and Software installation - server installation a plus
- Windows administration experience (Active Directory and Exchange)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solver with sound judgment and handles pressure well
- Resourceful and results oriented
- Comfort interfacing with clients, face-to-face or by phone
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Customer focused
- Must be willing to travel locally to client sites and provide onsite support
