SQL Database Administrator at Englewood

Job Description

Excellent opportunity for a SQL Database Administrator in the Englewood, CO area.

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following:

- Responsible for administering and maintaining all MS SQL databases (production, development, test, etc)

- Creates and modifies reports that run against databases to meet business user requirements

- Provides general support on hardware, software, and Windows operating system problems.  Installs, tests, and maintains software components used to monitor and tune SQL environments

- Provides 24 hour on call support as required

- Participates in break/fix incident management with appropriate vendors

- Documents system/environment changes

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for the SQL Database Administrator will be able to prove the following:

- Minimum of 3 years experience managing Microsoft SQL 2000/2005/2008 databases and servers

- Experience managing multiple SQL instances in large environments.  Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008

- Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.  Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving of MS SQL environments, including ability to quickly identify root-cause of problems and recommend solutions

- Bachelors degree in computer related field or 3+ ears of relevant technical experience

- Multiple technical certifications preferred
