Equipment Maintenance Technician at Centennial

Job Description

Description:

To provide multi-disciplinary expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, adjustment and repair of a wide variety of complex automated equipment.  Assist production with day-to-day equipment related issues to help identify and eliminate weak points to improve equipment efficiencies and exceed production goals.  Perform set up and perform preventive maintenance. THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.

 

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Perform routine preventive Maintenance activities
  • Takes the initiative in finding and implementing efficiency improvements to existing equipment and processes.
  • Assist in the installation, start-up and qualification of new equipment.
  • Review equipment technical documentation to update preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Analyze maintenance data for the implementation of a predictive maintenance program.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Set-up and trouble shoot process equipment including RF and Ultrasonic welding systems.
  • Work closely with production to quickly resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

    EHS Specific Goals

    • Aware of and comply with all VSD Englewood EHS Safety policies and procedures as they apply to this job.
    • Complete all planned EHS training within the defined deadlines.
    • Actively participate in the EHS program (i.e., Element Safety Committee, Concern Reporting, etc…)

     

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with a mechanical engineering major or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-4 years equipment maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical
  • Able to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Some understanding of GMP and ISO manufacturing regulations. 
  • Able to work with little supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently. 
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • 5-10 years automation equipment maintenance experience, a plus
  • Machining experience, a plus
