Job Description
Purpose and Scope
Responsible for all communication, forecasts, orders, schedule changes, status of orders and requests from commercial product marketing partners, including contract manufacturing partners, to ensure timely delivery and partner satisfaction. Assist in the planning and execution of Supply Chain related projects and commercial product improvement support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day management of Marketing Partner relationships for supply of commercial product.
- Work with Master Scheduler to direct scheduling of production in line with customer orders. Influence adherence to the supply chain schedule to ensure on-time release based on commitments made to the marketing partner.
- Work with Master Scheduler to direct scheduling of production in line with requirements of Supply Chain related projects; review and track progress relating to development lots in the production planning meetings.
- Manage ad hoc multi-disciplinary team meetings and partner conference calls as needed to address issues relating to commercial product supply.
- Coordinate and support multi-disciplinary Project Team(s) to manage Supply Chain related projects, ensuring that budget, scope, and product performance requirements are met.
- Convene ad hoc meetings of the Project Team(s) and/or other parties as needed to address issues outside of regularly scheduled Project Team meetings.
- Create and maintain MS Project task list files, review at Project Team Meetings and update and distribute to Team members and Management in a timely manner.
- Manage projects with consideration to company policies and Project Management SOP’s.
- Edit and prepare purchase and inventory requisitions as needed, attaching detailed justification for all purchases of goods and services out of budget.
- Provide input to the contract manufacturing quote process as needed.
- Develop and maintain monthly department reports as required.
- Manage requests from Marketing Partner(s) for regulatory samples and standards
- Complete special projects as directed and perform various other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project. FourthShift ERP knowledge preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while remaining focused on each task.
- Ability to develop project timelines and tracking reports and present to senior management.
- Exceptional organization skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years experience in the manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry. Preferred experience in client services and supply chain operations with added skills in problem solving and project management.
