Department: Commissary Rep for the Sales Military Region.

Develops and implements strategic business plans with commissaries to deliver Profitable Volume Growth focusing on event selling, merchandising, distribution, shelving, pricing and vender stocker management.

1) Develop business plan for each commissary to enable GMI to achieve event and mandated merchandising objectives, delivering incremental Profitable Volume Growth.
#Create merchandising offers which meet strategies of account and result in the most optimum use of resources within GMI operating guidelines
#Identify Customer Strategies to incorporate General Mills strategies and develop business plans
#Conduct periodic performance analysis to adjust strategies and execution as necessary
#Maintain up to date and accurate spending information in commissary record card, insuring complete and timely submission of contracts (VCMs)
#Adhere to all GMI policies and procedures (i.e.: trade funding, unsalables policy, etc.)

2) Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships with commissary store directors, and where applicable, Zone and Region managers, that insures achievement of GMI Military Region objectives
# Develop and maintain customer rapport by understanding customer expectations and General Mills capabilities to meet those needs
# Work with customer service to insure good service and on time delivery of case lot merchandise and truck loads when ordered, for direct shipment to commissaries

3) Deliver distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing objectives
# Maintain distribution in line with commissary classification taking into consideration the accounts policies
# Gain new product acceptance, visibility and merchandising levels in line with assigned priorities
# Institute shelving efforts that are in accordance with category management principles that benefit General Mills and the account. Overall GMI share of shelf commensurate (at minimum) with share of market
# Attend and execute store and category resets as scheduled by DeCA and industry
# Maintain proper pricing of GMI SKUs for everyday competitiveness and correct mandated events (CAO follow up and VPR signage)

4) Hire and maintain adequate vender stocker network
# Insure proper vender stocker staffing at each commissary in territory
# Maintain and submit proper updated employ maintenance files to Prime Team to insure efficient and proper payment to stockers, and avoid any miss payments for GMI

* Must live within 30 miles from the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
* Must submit a resume to be considered
* Must have a valid drivers license
* Must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to show proof of such, if necessary
* 3-5 years selling experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry
* Should possess strong customer expertise, communication, business opportunity development, people management and results orientation skills.
* Team player as well as being able to work independently and self motivated
* Basic computer skills, including e-mail, spread sheet development, and word processing.
