Brief Description of Role:

The candidate will be a developer on the Advisor Services Technology team.  This role will be responsible for new development to existing applications as well as maintenance and support of the applications.  The role requires participation on a highly collaborative agile team.  The role will require a high level or responsibility but have a support structure necessary for development growth.  Strong work ethic, design and development skills, strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization is required.

Job Requirements

Technical/Functional Qualifications

• Bachelors in Science in Computer Science or Masters in Computer Science with some .NET or Java background.
• Coursework and/or experience in object oriented languages such as Java, C# or C++
• Coursework and/or experience in software engineering principles, such as software design patterns
• Coursework and/or experience in database principles, such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB or Hadoop
• Coursework and/or experience in user interfaces, such as HTML5, Jquery, CSS
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• A yearning to understand and leverage new tools and technologies
• A yearning to leverage technology to build products that "wow" users
