summary

this role acts as an application knowledge expert enabling the deployment and support of oracle enterprise one/jd edwards - specifically in the area of finance & accounting. this role is responsible for ensuring the on-time design, configuration, delivery, implementation, maintenance, and end user satisfaction associated
with new or incremental changes to finance & accounting functionality for
oracle enterprise one/jd edwards.

key activities include defining both functional and technical specifications, configuring jde software, as well as writing specifications and testing documents.
support of existing jde functionality is also required which includes troubleshooting and problem resolution.

interacting with end users to gain deep understanding of business processes and challenges.

facilitating meetings / sessions focused on defining business requirements and business processes.

3.

developing functional specifications for use in configuration of oracle enterprise one / jd edwards systems.

4.

configuration, delivery, implementation, and support of finance & accounting functionality associated with oracle enterprise one / jd edwards erp systems in accordance with gaap and corporate policies.

5.

assist in the development of technical specifications associated with workflow, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms.

6.

manage the development of integration test scripts associated with finance & accounting functionality.

7.

manage the execution of integration testing (uat) associated with finance & accounting functionality.

8.

assist in the conversion of master data associated with finance & accounting functionality.

9.

research available technologies to determine optimum solution, develop project specifications, assess development resource requirements and develop project plans.

10.

work with other it employees to integrate new systems/applications into it infrastructure.

11.

develop and deliver end user training materials.

12.

manage system implementation process including end user training.
provide ongoing system enhancements as may be required as well as ongoing system/application customer support.

13.

champion the implementation of world class processes.

14.

participate in project gate reviews.

15.

review it project planning methods and systems and utilizing six sigma rigor, identify potential cost reduction areas and manage process improvement efforts.

16.

standardize and simplify global business processes by enablement with it solutions.

17.

assist managers and business leaders in building business cases.

18.

evaluate business cases for projects and recommend approvals or modifications.

19.

other duties as assigned.

education/experience

bachelors degree (b.s. or b.a.) from four-year college or university and 3 to 10 years experience implementing erp systems such as sap, oracle, or jde at an international/global level.
approximately of 2-4 full life cycle implementation with jde

computer skills

proficient in ms office suite (word, excel, access, powerpoint and outlook).

certificates and licenses

six sigma certification would be a plus.
