Devereux Cleo Wallace, located in beautiful Westminster, Colorado, is seeking a Medical Clerk for our Psychiatric Treatment Facility for children ages 8 to 21. With 90 beds on campus, you will get the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients with varying disorders: mental health, emotional, behavioral and/or conduct disorders. In a team oriented culture, you will work closely with numerous departments all with the common goal of individually treating clients disorders while teaching life, social and coping skills.

Assigned to the Westminster Nursing Services Department and serves youth campus wide in collaboration with Residential, Education and Clinical staff. Obtains authorizations for services if necessary, arranges transports and medical appointments, files charts and other records and may enter medications into the Dr. First e-prescribing system. Additionally acts to support Nursing in scheduling youth appointments, filing paperwork, and scanning documents into Profiler. The position may also entail other office duties as assigned.A portion of this positions duties will be dedicated to the support of the psychiatry team. In this role the Medical Clerk will be responsible for bringing youth to the psychiatrists for therapy, facilitating parent and caseworker contact with the psychiatrists, obtaining medication histories, obtaining medication consents and scheduling phone appointments.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of college in a degree seeking program, preferable in Health Care field. A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
• Two yearsofexperience in a medical setting is preferred.
• Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and multi-tasking skillsare beneficial to see sucess in this position.
• Experience with children and adolescents is preferred.
