Job Description

Responsibilities

Drives profitable revenue growth through the strategic development and implementation of product marketing plans; and creation of comprehensive tools and content to support the sales and services organizations efforts to sell and implement Wholesale services by:

- Developing segment, solution and product specific marketing plans in support of the Global Wholesale go-to-market strategy

- Developing and maintaining positioning statements for Verizon wholesale products

- Managing all marketing, advertising and promotional activities

- Analyzing market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products; directing analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information

- Developing marketing plans and projects for new and existing products

- Expanding and developing marketing platforms; managing the productivity of the marketing plans and projects

Driving channel effectiveness through the marketing, education and positioning related to product/solution offerings by:

- Creating comprehensive tools and content to support the sales and services organizations efforts to sell and implement wholesale products and services.

- Taking lead role in product releases and leading the product launch process through awareness, training and positioning.

- Developing expert level knowledge of the competitive landscape and our key differentiators

- Developing solution-specific marketing plans in support of the Global Wholesale go-to-market strategy

- Developing and maintaining positioning statements for all Global Wholesale products

- Serving as subject matter expert for designated product marketing programs and campaigns

- Working closely with the Corporate Communications team to develop internal and external communication plans (i.e., web, contributed articles, speaking engagements/ webinars, etc.)

- Developing and managing the marketing vehicles to include industry events, webinars, web and print advertising programs, online/eMarketing activities, etc.

Drives product development efforts by providing input to and the prioritization of the Product Roadmap by:

- Consulting with product development team on product specifications such as design, features, and cost structure.

- Directing the coordination of marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, in collaboration with Corporate advertising and promotion groups.

- Negotiating contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.

- Using forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

Develops distribution strategy and implements programs:to target key customer segments:

- Directs the day-to-day activity of consultant level employees and interns and provides input on their training, development plans and performance evaluations.

Job Requirements

Must have at least 6 years marketing experience. Strong selling skills are also desirable as the position works directly with the sales team. Position requires strong persuasive skills to sell the viability of marketing strategies and decisions. The ability to work well across organizations is critical.

Education and Experience:

Degree in Business, Marketing or other creative field strongly preferred

Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies within high tech or telecommunications

Strong technical marketing skills

Proven experience in customer and market research

Experience developing pricing strategies with business case preparation and profitability anyalsis

Advanced presentation capabilities

Advanced training in business, e.g., MBA, desirable
