OPPORTUNITY:
This critical position in our Audit and Accounting practice is responsible for building and effectively managing multiple unique client relationships. He/she will serve as a trusted advisor to their clients and partner with various individuals within BCG to provide world class business solutions. This is a highly visible position with direct interface with both clients/business owners and members of BCGs Management Team. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and actively support BCGs vision statement, live its core values, and achieve individual and department objectives.
The successful candidate will be an effective Engagement Manager, responsible for significant engagement billings including planning, staffing, managing projects, review, and quality control. This will be accomplished through various methods, including appropriate staffing, policies and procedures, training, internal controls, and peer reviews. He/she will also be a Relationship Manager, sustaining relationships with clients by understanding their goals, being a creative problem-solver and trusted advisor, and aligning internal and external resources with client needs.
The Senior A&A Manager ensures efficient and timely completion of projects, effective management of client expectations and delivery dates, supervision of deadlines, matching appropriate skill levels to assignments and billing projects.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Senior Manager at BCG:
Exhibits excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
Maintains and manages client relationships as a Relationship Manager and drives significant billings as an Engagement Manager.
Cultivates and obtains clients through referral networks and professional and/or community involvement.
Is proficient at negotiating fees, contracts, delivery dates, and scope of work.
Is committed to up-front pricing and utilizing fixed price agreements when appropriate.
Efficiently utilizes department and firm resources which include managing staff, software, research materials, and other general resources.
Ensures that all high-risk engagements have the appropriate level of review.
Contributes to the development and implementation of administrative policies and functions of the firm.
Develops niche or product expertise within the firm, becoming a resource to the firms
clients and BCG staff.
Adopts, supports, promotes, and clarifies all aspects of the departments business plan, including its vision, core values and long-range goals.
Works approximately 2,400 hours annually, of which 1,450 are billable.
Achieves realization in excess of 90%.
A Senior A&A Manager also directly manages their direct reports including responsibility for:
Supervising Managers and Seniors.
Conducting weekly meetings with direct reports.
Preparing personal development plans for direct reports.
Participating in hiring, mentoring and performance evaluation activities.
Identifying, developing, and retaining future firm leaders.
The Senior A&A Manager should approach his or her role within the firm as eventually being the A&A department lead. The successful Senior A&A Manager will assume this role over a period of time.
MISSION CRITICAL OBJECTIVES:

employee and client base, competitive landscape, processes, systems and protocols.
Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:The Senior A&A Manager will possess an active CPA license and 7-10+ years of experience in the
A&A department within an accomplished accounting firm.
Experience managing both simple and complex A&A projects and professional services teams (preferably in construction, distribution, manufacturing and/or professional services industries).
Broad technical knowledge of a variety of A&A and business issues.
The successful candidate will view their role as a problem solver, not an auditor.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Use of MS products. Preference for experience with the CCH suite of products.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college and active CPA license are required.
M.S., M.B.A., or related M.A. degree is a plus.
Ability to deal with ambiguity, excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
