Release and Configuration Management Engineer

Candidate must have the below mention “Must have skill set" for Consideration

 

Must Have:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building commercial applications using tools: Maven or Ant.
• Experience with version control tools including SVN, Git, ClearCase – Minimum 1 of the 3.
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written.

Job Requirements

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Jenkins and Bamboo is preferred.

Experience with IBM Rational Build Forge is strongly preferred.

Additional experience working with defect management systems.

Previous development experience  

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable and consistent execution of build processes
• Assist in integration of automated test tools with the build system
• Assist development and support teams with tool and process questions as needed
• Perform Business As Usual changes, some of which are manually executed on UNIX and Windows systems, some of which are automated
• Work with development, middleware, and support teams to document and automate software builds, deployments and other repetitive manual tasks.
• Train Development and Support staff in the self-service use of IBM/Rational Build Forge, Bamboo and Jenkins
• Troubleshoot build/deployment failures. Train support and development teams to do the same.
• Monitor support queue for scheduled changes/deployment and support requests
• Confirm that scheduled changes are properly approved and documented prior to implementation
