Vaisala software development unit is responsible for all software related product and technology development, related design processes, competences and roadmaps. This unit is also responsible for the design and implementation of software related technology, platforms, interfaces and system testing.

Vaisala software development unit is looking for a highly collaborative

Software Engineer

to be a core member of a team given the challenge of building our Java-based Web Platform.

• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mean more to you than just maps on a screen.

The Web Platform is a critical component in Vaisalas software architecture and is used in support of our web application development teams for visualizing weather related information. As a member of our Web Platform development team you will be collaboratively designing, implementing, testing, deploying and maintaining web platform features and infrastructure. In this role you will regularly collaborate with our application development teams and software architects to ensure alignment with application team needs. As a scrum team member you will actively participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning, review sessions, and retrospectives.
